Through a major step to strengthen its future defense, Ukraine has finalized a letter of intent to acquire as many as 100 Rafale warplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, air defence systems and additional essential equipment from the French Republic. The incident occurred just a day after the Ukrainian president approved a deal to bring in American LNG through the area. The MT Orinda was struck while offloading LPG at Izmail port, as stated by Turkey's Directorate for Maritime Affairs. All 16 crew members aboard were safely removed and not a single person was hurt.
