Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the international break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football side," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's sole on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

Fulham have got lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

It is a tough one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but could they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
