Locating the Venezuelan-affiliated Vessel Reportedly Pursued by the US Coast Guard

A uniquely yellow-colored apartment block in the background helped us locate the footage.
We are analyzing images and video shared earlier today that show the scene of a alleged car bomb explosion that Russian officials say killed a high-ranking military officer in Moscow.
Russian authorities confirmed that Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov was in the car that exploded and that he later died of his wounds. A probe is under way.
The initial step to check the location of where the pictures originated relied on posts saying the explosion occurred on Yasenevaya Street in the southern part of the capital city of Russia.
Our analysis employed street-view imagery on Google Maps and the local mapping service Yandex Maps to match the distinctive yellow colour of a nearby residential complex captured in the footage.
Locating additional structures, streetlights and the street layout verified the exact location the footage were captured.
We also checked that the video clips were new and that the images had not undergone digital alteration.
